Describe the music you want, its genre, mood, instruments and tempo, choose a length and instrumental or vocals, and get an MP3. Music generation is not switched on yet.
Updated
This page will: describe the music in a sentence, choose a length from 15 seconds to 2 minutes and whether it is instrumental, and get an MP3 composed for you by ElevenLabs. The tool is built and shows exactly how it will work.
Music generation is not switched on yet, because HueFold's ElevenLabs plan does not include the Music API; until it is, nothing can be generated or charged here.
Tracks are saved as MP3 at 44.1 kHz and 128 kbit/s, the same as the AI voice and sound effect pages. At that rate every second of music is 16,000 bytes, about 15.6 KB, whatever the music sounds like, so a track's size follows from its length.
The tool offers 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute and 2 minutes; the longest a track can be is set by HueFold and is 3 minutes today.
| Length | MP3 size | Bytes |
|---|---|---|
| 15 s | 234.4 KB | 240,000 |
| 30 s | 468.8 KB | 480,000 |
| 1 min | 937.5 KB | 960,000 |
| 2 min | 1.83 MB | 1,920,000 |
| 3 min | 2.75 MB | 2,880,000 |
Not yet. The page is built on ElevenLabs' Music API, and HueFold's ElevenLabs plan does not include it yet, so the tool shows the AI as switched off and nothing can be generated or charged. Everything else on the page, the description box, the ideas, the length and the instrumental setting, works as it will when music is switched on.
In the meantime, the add music to video page has a free sample beat, and the sound effects for video page has twelve free effects made in your browser.
You describe the music in a sentence (genre, mood, instruments and tempo), choose a length and whether it should be instrumental, and press Generate the music. HueFold asks ElevenLabs to compose it, and the MP3 appears with its waveform to play, alongside any earlier takes, ready to download.
Each run uses AI credits from your HueFold account, shown before and after it runs, and needs a free sign-in.
Name a genre (lo-fi hip hop, cinematic, acoustic folk, synthwave), a mood (calm, upbeat, tense, hopeful), the main instruments (piano, acoustic guitar, strings, synth pads, drums) and a tempo in beats per minute: around 70 to 90 feels relaxed, 110 to 130 energetic. Say what the music is for, such as under a voiceover or a product video, and how it should develop, such as building to a swell.
The ideas under the box are complete descriptions you can start from and change.
Instrumental is ticked by default, because music under a voice or a video works best without singing competing with the words. Untick it for a song with vocals, and say in the description what the singing should be like.
For background music, instrumental tracks also loop and cut more easily.
Match the video: 15 seconds for a short reel or an ad, 30 seconds for most social videos, a minute or two for a tutorial or a slideshow. A track a little longer than the video can be faded out at the end with add music to video, which is easier than stretching a short one.
Longer tracks take longer to compose.
Download the MP3 and open add music to video: choose your video and the track, set where the music starts, its volume against the video's own sound, and fades in and out, then save the MP4. For music cut to the beat of the track, use beat sync with your clips.
Keep music under speech quiet: the add music to video page shows how loud the voice is against the music.
Background music for social videos, product demos, tutorials and presentations; intros and outros for podcasts and channels; music for slideshows and reels; and quick drafts while a final track is chosen. A described track can be made to fit the mood and length of one video rather than searched for.
Pair it with the AI voice generator for narration and the AI sound effect generator for sounds.
Yes: every track you make in a visit is kept as a take with its own waveform and file, and the same description gives a different track each time. Generate two or three and pick the one that fits.
Each take is also saved in your HueFold account.
An MP3 at 44.1 kHz and 128 kbit/s, which plays in every editor and browser: a 30-second track is 480,000 bytes, about 469 KB.
To make it smaller or change its format, any audio editor can convert it.
Tempo is beats per minute (BPM). Around 60 to 80 BPM feels slow and calm, suiting meditation, ambience and gentle tutorials; 90 to 110 is relaxed but moving, like most lo-fi and acoustic music; 120 to 130 is upbeat, the pace of much pop and dance; above 140 feels urgent. Put the number in the description, as in “80 BPM”.
For cuts on the beat afterwards, a steady tempo helps: beat sync finds the beats of any track.
Any style you can put into words: genres such as lo-fi hip hop, synthwave, cinematic orchestral, acoustic folk, jazz, house or ambient; moods such as hopeful, tense or playful; and instruments such as piano, strings, guitar, brass or synth pads. The ideas under the box give six complete starting points.
Combining a genre, a mood and two or three instruments usually gives a clearer track than a long list.
Pick the length nearest to your video and slightly longer, then use add music to video to place it, set the music's volume against the video's own sound, and fade it out at the end. The video then ends with the music fading rather than stopping mid-phrase.
Add music to video also loops a track that is shorter than the video.
With Instrumental unticked, the description can say what the singing should be about and how it should sound, such as a soft female vocal or a choir. Exactly how a model follows lyric requests can only be judged once music generation is switched on; until then, plan on instrumental tracks for anything under speech.
Instrumental music is also easier to cut and loop.
The add music to video page comes with a free sample beat you can put under any video, and accepts any music file you have the right to use. The sound effects for video page has twelve effects made in your browser, free to use. Beat sync cuts your clips to the beats of any track.
When AI music is switched on here, this page will make tracks of the length and mood you describe.
Use plain feeling words and an example of where the music plays: hopeful, under a product launch; calm, under a tutorial; tense, before a reveal; playful, under a pet video. Pair the mood with a tempo and two or three instruments so the description is specific.
Avoid naming real artists or songs: describe the sound you like instead.
The MP3 is an ordinary audio file: trim it, fade it or loop it in any audio or video editor, or place it under a video with add music to video, which sets where it starts, its volume and fades. To change the music itself, generate a new track with a changed description.
Keep the description of a track you like, so you can make variations of it later.
Yes, in a current browser on Android or an iPhone; the MP3 downloads to your phone, ready for any video app.
Turn the sound on to hear the takes.
Your description is sent to HueFold, which asks ElevenLabs to compose the track; the MP3 is saved in your HueFold account. Nothing else from your device is sent.
Do not put private information in a description.
